Tencel and viscose are cellulose-based fibres with a natural sheen that reflects light with a silk-like, velvet appearance. Tencel cannot achieve a fully matte appearance. All hand-woven rugs and carpets are subject to natural variation in weave and slight colour differences between batches. These are inherent to their handmade nature and do not constitute faults. Pile reversal, pile crush, shading, streaking, tracking and fading are natural characteristics and cannot be considered defects. Natural fibres may fade over time, particularly with exposure to direct sunlight.
